How time consuming is a 2 credit hour summer class?

I applied for fall 2009 entry psychiatric DNP program. I got an email today that I need to take a 2credit hour non-clinical class in the summer 1 session (5 weeks). I'm going to do an accelerated full-time program (3 years) and was planning becoming only PRN at my current job. I haven't actually talked to anyone at my job about this which is a problem as I work in a very small psych unit. I remember in college that taking whole classes in 5 weeks was quite strenous, so it would not make sense that this would not apply to graduate school. I know some of you on here could do this accelerated program and work full-time balancing families, but that is just not me.

I guess I just don't know what to expect from a summer online course. Neuropsychopathology.. This is my favorite kind of course work and I want to have time to take my whole textbook and make all its knowledge mine. I currently work 40 hours a week.. 8 hour shifts and can fortunately work much less and still feed, cloth, and shelter myself if I need to.

Thank you for input
