How is the TEAS V timed?

Published

I am a bit confused on how the TEAS V test is timed. The manual states that each section has a specific time limit, i.e. math- 51 minutes, science- 66 minutes, etc... but when I take the online practice test there is only a timer that goes to four hours I think and each section is not limited to the time stated above. Can anyone tell me how their test was timed? I am asking because I take longer on reading (due to the passages to read) and math ( due to working out problems), but in English and science I do not take as long. Thank you!

P.S. I am a nervous wreck! My program counts the TEAS as 60% of the application process. Yikes.

Teas test is timed section by section. You'll need to time yourself and not rely on the one online. And especially do so in reading. I didn't really practice timing myself and had to rush near the end on reading and I'm pretty sure that caused me to miss some. Good luck on studying!

I cut it close on reading and math, and I even go over at times. Grrr. Thank you so much for the response, I really do appreciate it.

Once you start a section, the timer will start. If the timer runs out on the section it will close that section. Once you are done with a section, the timer will not start until you start the next section. It is best to take a breather or go to the bathroom between sections since the timer isn't active.

Thank you so much. I will take that advice.
