How did you prepare for the Excelsior CPNE?

Hi to all,

I would like to know how did you prepare for Excelsior CPNE or how do plan to prepare for your CPNE? Do you have any student pointer ideas?

I'm currently studying for my CPNE exam Oct 14th. Got my CD from Excelsior, printed the study guide and started reading it. I've actually broken down each section to the basic info needed. The study guide is a huge undertaking but after you go through it a few times it starts coming together.

I made a separate notebook with all the areas of care broken down. Made another smaller binder each for medications and care plans. I also ordered a study guide from Sheri Taylors http://www.cpneworkshops.com and I plan on taking the on-line workshop two months before CPNE. I incorporated the info from Sheri into my study notebook. Got my mnemonics and grid from her study guide.

Set up my spare bedroom into a mini-lab/hospital room. Have all my supplies separated out so I can practice.

Are you currently studying for CPNE? If so, do you have your test date yet?

Tammy

I am just beging to study for CPNE also. I am doing Sheri's online, and I have her study guide. I was given the CPNE orintation cd and workbook and plan on viewing it this week. :uhoh3: look for the change from study guide 17 to 18 that goes into effect Oct. 1st. SG 18 will not be out untill Aug. from what EC told me.
