Salary is changing, go here for the latest from the RCN.

Then go here and it will give you deductions etc.

There are lots of threads on this forum about salary in the UK.

Edited to add, as I did not have a mortgage I was saving over £1000 per month easily (Top of Band 6 in Scotland).
