How much are nurses making?

I am just curious on how much nurses are making in Washington state? If you don't mind sharing please do, i'm going to be starting nursing school in a couple of months and want to get an idea on what the pay might be like. Thank you! :)

Thanks for the response. That is still better than what we RNs are making here in Chicago with 10% sales tax. 24/25 to start plus rent is alot higher. It's a shame that RNs in Chicago make so little considering that it is the seat of the State Boards of Nursing Association and home of NCLEX.

I started at around 25/hr with 2.50 shift dif for eves. Nocs is $5. More on weekends. It goes up a dollar a year, plus COL raise. Pay scale max is 48/hr.

At 32 hours a week I made about 50k my first year with minimal OT.

Hi,I am new to this site.I am planning on relocating to Bothell,Washington. I have been an RN for almost 6 years and LPN for over 5years.I currently have a georgia and florida RN license.I will be appying for a washington licensce.:nurse:I would like to know what are the best hospitals to work at and what is the general pay scale for an experienced nurse? I heard that Harborview,Swedish,Virginia Mason and Washington State hospitals are good. I also would like to know what are good areas to live?
