How MUCH is HOMEHEALTH IN SOUTHERN CA?

Published

How much is the salary of of home health nurses in the Southern California per visit. Like opening a case or visits etc. Any response will be very helpful!

This is a question best asked of the agencies one is considering working for, provided one can find an agency that is hiring.

The agency I work for currently offers RNs between $45-100 depending on the type of visit.

Start of Care: $100

Recertification: $85

Discharges: $70

Supervisory Visits: $45

IV/Follow-up Visits: $50

For LVNs (depending on experience and hx with the agency)

Intermittent Visits: $30-35

BID/QD Visits: $18-20

Hope this helps! We are not a huge agency, office staff is about 6, and field nurses are about 12 (rns & lvs)

Do you know what other agencies in your area offer? (So Cal) We offer a lower amount because we're a newer agency but we're looking to hire new employees and I wanted to get some statistics.

We were thinking of implementing higher rates but only if paperwork is turned in within 48 hours. Does your agency do anything like that?

I'm not sure about what other agencies offer, I'm not sure if it also depends on the agency. like the really big name agencies like Livingston or Help Unlimited, but my aunt also owns a home health in glendale and her rates for new lvns are $28 for intermittent and $12-16 for QD/BID's, I'm not sure about her rates with the RNs.

For the RN's their paperwork is supposed to be turned in within 48 hours, especially because you need to have their papework for sending out the orders for the plan of care, and other stuff. We also have a $20 deduction fee per every day that it is late. If the visits on a Friday then Monday is alright.

For the LVNs they are supposed to turn their notes in weekly, for us its every Wednesday. So it's all the visits turned in from the previous wednesday til tuesday. and again we have late fees for $5 per every day that its late. When it comes to note deficiencies, we QA the notes every week so by the time they turn in their notes the following wednesday, they already know what notes they need to correct. We give them 1 week to correct the notes from the time they picked it up which is usually Wednesdays.

Hope this helps. I've also been curious about what other agencies in our area offer.

What's recertification? Do they hire new nurse?
