i am just wondering how many are from my "neck of the woods"?:chuckle

Not too many people can say that!:)

I spent the first 14 years of my life in a small southwestern Virginia town called Pound, close to the Kentucky border and Jenkins. I still have relatives that live in Clintwood, Virginia... somewhat close to Kentucky.

I'm from Clintwood!

Hi krm6a! Its a small world. I haven't been in that area for about thirteen years. My relatives are of the Powers/McClain persuasion. Do you like it there? Sometimes I long to be back there. I really enjoy living in the city along with all its conveniences, but I do miss living in a small town sometimes too. Its just me, my mom and my daughter here in Cincinnati. I miss having lots of friends and relatives around. Where do you go to school?

Yeah, I really do like living here but of course I've lived here all of my life and it's all I know. But I do love to visit cities and travel around. I have heard of some Powers around here but don't know them personally. I am going to the University of Virginia's College at Wise (formally clinch valley college) in Wise, Virginia. This is the first year that they have taught beginning nursing students (before it was RN to BSN only). I am pretty excited about everything. I'll bet it's pretty exciting living in Cincinnati!
