We accumulate 8 hours of sick leave a month, pro-rated if we don't work full time. We start off with 15 days of vacation per year, which increases to 20 days after three years of employment. Five of those days are taken during winter break (we are closed for two weeks in December). Again, this is pro-rated. We get all the state and national holidays, although some of the national holidays, we work and then get them off during the week between Christmas and New Year's (the other week is given to us as vacation time). Our agency also has been known to give us extra days off, like this coming Friday. We don't get paid much, but as you can see, it is a generous leave policy, and there is some convoluted formula whereby you actually accumulate your sick time more quickly if you don't use it. We also get one personal day a year. There is no set limit for educational days, we file requests which are decided on a case by case basis.
I think that he was talking about people in CRNA programs only.
At UNCC (where I am headed), the program director stated that they were pretty generous. She spoke of a case where a student was in a car wreck and was allowed to slip without being eliminated. Having both a Jan and Aug start gives a one semester flex.

Well, don't I feel the fool? Is it really a huge problem that someone else replies? Just possibly if you were able to figure out that I'm not in a CRNA program, the OP might be as clever as you???
We get 20 days/year to use as vacation, sick, conferences, etc. In the first year, we had a set week off after level 1 and then again after level 2 (Christmas). Now we can request time whenever we feel like it (except during specialty rotations such as trauma or peds). Occassionally, we can earn comp days if we sign up for extra call shifts. The student that is assigned to do our schedule also earns an extra comp day/semester for her efforts (She probably deserves more!)

Just out of curiousity,
How many yearly sick days do you guys have in your respective programs? Vacation days? Educational leave days?
Thanks.
