I just took my NCLEX PN yesterday in MA and have to wait till tomorrow to get my results, it shut off at 85. But I was wondering how many do you have to get right to pass? I read a lot about 50/50 and I'm just really confused. If my test shut off at 85 and I failed does that mean I really did awful and if I passed at 85 does that mean I did really well. Thanks!

It doesn't matter it is just a number, you can pass at 85 as easily as fail at 85. X amount of questions are test questions (top of head can't remember exactly how many) then depending on level you need to get 50% right

I think its 15 are pretest questions and then 60 are "NCLEX" Test questions. Its crazy. I shut off at 85 and I swore I failed, but I passed. It gives you no clue how you did, you just have to keep on waiting until you find out!
Best of Luck!
