How to make the right choice

Published

I am a RN since 2008. I am a second career nurse and I am 48yrs old. I have had 3 jobs in the last 4 yrs. I have been working in home health the last 2yrs. I have not been fully comfortable always worrying about my pts, worrying if I missed something. I see my own pts on the weekends so others will not have to travel far since I am the furthest west of anyone. So I see at least 1-3 pts on weekends I am not on. I also get asked to see others on my weekends off. There is a ALF near my home that I go to on a daily basis to see pts. I have been offered a job there. It is a 10-6 mon-fri job it pays 24/hr no weekends.no holidays but may need to take a call if the med techs have a question.

Not sure what to do, concerned about having too many jobs on my resume. It would be a big hit to my wallet but have lived on alot less in my life. I am not getting any younger and the stress really gets to me. I want to get my BSN but with my crazy schedule would not be able to. I really want to find a job that I truly love. I do not picture myself as a home health nurse 10 yrs from now. Need to make a choice very soon.
