I graduated from my LPN program on June 27, 2012. I have filed all of the necessary papers, paid all of the fees, had a background check, and everything else I needed to do to take the NCLEX. I received my ATT letter, so I went to the Pearson site to schedule my exam. It would not let me, and said my eligibility was "pending". I went to the LARA site and typed in my code. They say they need my certification sent directly from my nursing school. I went to my school and talked to someone about three weeks ago, and she assured me that the certification had been sent. I check the website daily, and nothing has changed. Another girl from my class said she talked to someone at the school last week and they said they would mail the certificates the next day. I talked to someone again today, and she said they would be mailed tomorrow. I'm getting so frustrated! I'm a CNA in a nursing home, and I have been promised an LPN job as soon as I get my license. I was hoping to start working as an LPN this summer, but I have realized that isn't going to happen. I am wondering how long it will take for the state to process my certificate after they receive it. The website says 6-8 weeks, but the lady I talked to at my school said it usually takes a couple of weeks. I just wanted to know how long it took other people to test so I can get a better idea. I start the RN portion of my nursing program in September, and I hope to take my LPN boards before I go back to school. Thanks in advance for the insight!
I finally have a test date, August 18th! I'm so excited and very confident that I will pass. I am currently employed as a CNA in a nursing home, but I have been promised an LPN job as soon as I get my license. I go back to school on September 4th to start my RN program. I am hoping to start working as an LPN before I go back to school. Is that a realistic aspiration? It took so long for me to get a test date that I'm not sure. I would just like to know how long it took everyone else to get their paper license in the mail after testing. I live in Michigan. Thanks for the help!

Like the baby that is not born until his/her time, your license will be posted online in due time. Just make sure you pass! Good luck!
