How long did it take to find a job? (Chicago)

How long did it take you to find a job after training? :confused:

I live in Chicago and am thinking about becoming a CNA but I would need to find a job soon after since I would have to borrow money to pay for training.

I found a job immediately, while I was still in my clinicals. I don't live in Chicago, but I am but a few hours away from there.

What you can do is look up LTCs in the area and go in or call and talk to the DON. Tell her you are about to take a CNA course and are interested in employment there after. She should be able to tell you if they will likely need anybody at that time, and you can go ahead and get an application in. Talk to every place you can!
