How long for State of Michigan to post my license?

Published

Hi, just took the NCLEX today. According to the PVT, I passed. How long will it be before my license number is posted? Their website says 4 weeks, is that right??????? When I did my LPN 10 years ago, it was like 2 days.

Please comment if you have recent experience with this! Thanks!

I looked at this post: Is your permanent ID your license number? - Nursing for Nurses

I'm not sure if this is typical for everyone, but it looks like it takes about 2-3 business days for them to post your license online. Then another 2-3 business days to receive your physical license in the mail.

Congratulations! How many ?'s did ya get?

I ended up referring to that post as well! I got 75. Nothing too terribly hard. That's why I'm a little 'skeptical' of the Pearson Vue Trick. Hardly any SATA's. Of course there were the few 'what in the h*ll?" type questions, but I just made my best guess. I was concerned because I didn't feel like the difficulty was getting 'harder' as it should. I kept analyzing the test the entire time 'now, is this a harder question than the one before? or is it easier?'

Just a few weeks of studying with Davis Q & A, LaCharity's Priority and Delegation, Kaplan strategies and Saunders Comprehensive. Probably overload. .

Hehe, well congratulations! I'm horrible at the sata and even the easy hotspot ones. My school never included any of the hotspot ?'s in our tests, so I freak when I see one. I've done the laCharity, Saunders and am finishing my Kaplan material. I'm testing august 2nd, but might bump up if there is availability. Would you mind posting when you get your physical license, so I can figure out when my should come.

I'm terrified to do the PVT. Did you check right when you got home?

Oh yeah!! I finished the test at 8:50ish and I'm in the Grand Rapids area. Downtown GR is a hot mess due to construction and it was the longest drive home of my life. I ran into the house, dumped my stuff on the counter, turned the computer on and was checking by 9:30-40ish. Frantic as all can be, I wasn't paying attention and apparently it said "Ready to send results" or something to that effect, not "Results sent" and it kept saying that I had an "Open registration" and nothing about contacting the board of nursing. Gave it about 5 minutes, and logged back in and it was ready and got the so-called good pop-up.

The SATA's weren't too bad. I read in the NCLEX forum last night that most SATa's are always at least 2 or all of them except one. I have no idea if it's true or not, but that's what I went with! I had a few calculations. I was fine with that. I'm good with those, so I knew they would be questions I'd get right for sure. No hot spots at all and no audio clips!

Not sure if you've checked out the NCLEX forum under the student tab, but there is a wealth of information there!

I took my NCLEX on Jul 16 here in Ann Arbor and still have not heard. 75 questions and the good popup. I already have a license number but had let it expire, but nothing has changed on the site. It still says lapsed, expired. I am starting to wonder.

Yikes!! That's awful. It was terrible just getting my ATT, so I'm hoping the State of Michigan will be a little faster on delivering a license number. Argh!

Just an update.. I got my paid 'unofficial' results on Sunday. They may have been available by Saturday, but I was out of town. This is after taking the NCLEX on a Thursday. The State of Michigan posted my license today (Tuesday) and it was effective on Monday, which means I am getting my $8/hr increase all week!! YEAH!!

Congrats, I am so happy for you!

I moved my test when I saw an opening for tomorrow! Wish me good luck and pray for my anxiety to be gone when I step foot in the testing center! Hehe :)

Let me know when you get it in the mail!!

Congrats Erinp88!! :balloons: I still haven't heard about mine.

FINALLY, my RN license is active!! I passed!!

Hi!

I took my boards in michigan on July 20th, I found out thru quick results that I PASSED on wed the 22nd. It's Wed the 28th and I still don't have my license number on the michigan BON. I already started oriented as a Nurse Intern and my boss is shocked I don't have a license number yet. Until i get my number i can't be off orientation and my floor is so short on nurses they are waiting on my number. I'm starting to get concerned I really didn't pass, that the quick results were wrong...is that possible. Has anyone waited over a week for their license number to pop up. It seem like everyone else is getting theirs within a couple of days. Anyone have any input???
