How long have you seen codes last?

How long do the doctors on your unit take to call a code? What's the longest one you've seen? I am not comfortable usually after about 15-20 minutes of doing code drugs and compressions...how about you? How do you feel about coding a patient for 30 min. or longer?

Two and a half hours.

longest one i've been in on thus far was 55 minutes long-patient was brought back but remained unconscious. her kidneys never "woke up" (found out later we destroyed the blood supply to them) and she ended up dying about 36 hours later.
