How long does licensure take in Oregon?

Hello, I am new to the page.  I have my ADN and have passed the NCLEX RN on August 12th, 2020.  I ran into some legal trouble in March (during the program), and per my Dean, it was not enough to stop the program.  Of course, you have to divulge every naughty thing you've done when you apply to the board.  I admitted to having a misdemeanor which was actually charged after being put on a medication that exacerbated an underlying diagnosis of bipolar 2.  I was asked to provide several referrals for my RN including a statement from my employer and psychiatrist to name a few.  They were more concerned with my bipolar being stable than the misdemeanor although I was relatively stable prior to being medicated.  I've been an LPN for 6 years without any blemishes on my record.  No prior convictions prior to my psychotic break.  It has been 5 weeks and they say results in less than 6.  My question is, do I reach back out?  I provided all investigation documents requested last week.

Hi there,

Hopefully you got your license by now! I'm sort of in the same boat. Have a misdemeanor that's been dismissed from 7 years ago, and just took my NCLEX. Wondering how long this process takes ?

Not yet.  I am still waiting, in the mean time I have done some research.  I do not recall where I got this information, but I found that if you answer yes to any of those criminal history questions when applying, you will require full board review to be licensed.  This board review only occurs 12 times a year.  They are actually having one today, so I am hoping for answers soon.  Good luck with your licensing as well.  Good vibes your way.
