How long should I wait

I'm going to be graduating in about a year and a half from a BSN program. I was planning on working first then going for the DNP. However, the DNP program at my University is part time and would allow me to work full time during school. So should I work for a few years first and then apply or apply right away and work during the four years of school?

What did ya'll do? How long did you work first and do you think it would have been smarter to start school sooner? Or did you start school right away and regret it?
