The longest programs are 36 months from start to finish, full-time. The shortest are 24 months, and many in between.

Apply as soon as you have the requisite experience, test scores, etc. Some schools do offer scholarships, but by and large you will find graduate school is a pay-your-own way kind of deal.

I have a doctor of pharmacy degree and have an interest in changing professions. I would like to know do I need a RN degree b/f I can even apply to a Nurse anethesist program? I really need some direction on schools/programs and who to contact in columbus, Georgia?? Any assistance would be great.

I dont know about schools in the columbus, GA area but you will need to become an RN and have at least the usual one year of critical care experience. There are some programs that might take your current education and fast track you into a program, but you will still need to pass the licensure boards and practice prior to CRNA school. Aside from all of this, its never too late to make a change--good luck!

I'm just curious but why do you want to become a CRNA? Sounds like you already have a great degree (and probably a great job) and don't need to spend time and money for CRNA school.
