How long does CNO take to assess language proficiency?

Published

I am from Toronto and did all my education including my nursing education in Toronto. After graduating I had to put my career to take care of my father who was very ill. I have completed all my requirements (NCLEX, jurisprudence), however my language proficiency has expired. I sent in letters from people attesting to my English skills more than 2 months ago but haven't heard anything back yet. I am worried cause my evidence of practice expires soon. Does anyone have a rough idea of how long it takes? The people I called at CNO wouldn't give me a rough time frame.

Hi there. I am also looking to go through this process. Did you go through with it? If so how long did it take?

I read somewhere else on this forum that it took around 3 months. Thanks for your reply.

The Pandemic is slowing everything down. You must have patience. My provincial college staff are all working remote. Audits were cancelled.
