How is the job market in South Florida (Tri-County Area) Especially Miami

Published

Okay I know the job market sucks. Especially if you are a new grad. How is it going for fellow new grads? Any success stories? After how many months out of school you still don't have a job??? Thank you.

Of the 3 new grads I know - 1 left the Miami area to be near to family and got a job right away, 1 left the state to get married etc and hasn't been looking, and the other has been filling out applications for 14 months now with not even an interview, but she can afford to move. They are all from the same nursing program and graduating class.

It took me 3 months post graduation to land a job. A handful of my classmates were able to land jobs as well, but 99% of them landed jobs with their senior practicum site (including myself).

I will ask. I am not from the area so I never thought to ask before.
