How do I still not know if I want to pursue nursing?!

Published

I struggled with this all throughout high school as I was interested in health, and art. I volunteered in a hospital to see if nursing was for me, and I loved it. However when applying to programs, I realized gr12 chem and bio was NOT my strong point. So I decided to enroll in an interior design program, which I'm currently in (first year), as I believe I can excel in this field and I love designing houses! Unfortunately, I'm still thinking if I made the right choice by choosing design over nursing. I just find so much comfort with nurses and working in a hospital (as I was in a hospital a lot as a kid). I don't want to finish this design degree and realize that I want to switch! Of course, I can apply to a nursing program that begins in January, but I don't want to regret leaving my design program. How do I make this choice???!!!

I can relate to you completely I too have been in and out of hospitals and never actually thought about becoming a nurse until last year, I also completed Interior design and I find it more as a hobby not a career choice and wish I has started thinking about nursing sooner. I would say go with your gut! I never liked biology or was never good at school but I believe if you work hard enough you can do it.
