  1. I want a career where I can work in a hospital and help people. I thought of being a doctor, but I volunteered in a hospital and loved the nurses job more. I took all the requirements in highschool to potentially fulfill a nursing program, and hated every minute of it. I don't mind the material, it's just no matter how hard I study, I get low grades (65%). I took a different path in college, but I'm still thinking of what I'm missing in nursing. I recently looked at the courses students take in nursing programs, and was uninterested as soon as I seen Microbiology, chemistry..etc. What I'm asking is if the difficulty level of science is the same in nursing school? Should I switch from my program to an lpn program and work my way up to an RN? What do I do?!
  2. I struggled with this all throughout high school as I was interested in health, and art. I volunteered in a hospital to see if nursing was for me, and I loved it. However when applying to programs, I realized gr12 chem and bio was NOT my strong point. So I decided to enroll in an interior design program, which I'm currently in (first year), as I believe I can excel in this field and I love designing houses! Unfortunately, I'm still thinking if I made the right choice by choosing design over nursing. I just find so much comfort with nurses and working in a hospital (as I was in a hospital a lot as a kid). I don't want to finish this design degree and realize that I want to switch! Of course, I can apply to a nursing program that begins in January, but I don't want to regret leaving my design program. How do I make this choice???!!!
  3. I was interested and set on being a registered nurse for all of highschool (I'm in gr.12). I changed my mind on becoming a nurse because I did poorly in my Adv. Functions, and Biology class (65%-70%). I'm definitely not strong in these classes, so I decided to do law instead. I'm going to Ryerson's Criminology program next year, but I'm considering nursing again. If I decide to go to school for nursing, I can attend a nearby college, and get a practical nursing diploma. Then I guess go to Ryerson to become an RN. Has anyone struggled with these courses? How did you overcome it? Did anyone take this path from LPN to RN? How was it? How do I know if I should switch to nursing? Thank you!!!
