How do I register in the States from Australia?

Hello all,

I'm new here, and have been having difficulty obtaining information on how to transfer from here in Australia as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse back to the States to what I would assume is an LPN.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I will be returning to the States soon and would like to be able to further my new career.

Are you a US citizen, first of all? If not, you will not be able to get a visa to allow you to work. Unless you are married to an American.

You do not transfer your license, you will need to sit for the NCLEX-PN if your schooling is accepted. It is up to the individual state to make that determination. If you want to work in NY, then go to their website for the Board of Nursing and follow what is says for the License by Examination, and for a foreign grad.

Thanks for that. Yes, I am a U.S. citizen. My background is actually sales and marketing, but I made the career change whilst here in Australia and my schooling has been done here.
