How do I highlight my skills in my Cover Letter when I haven't started my senior capstone?

The hospital I'm applying to opens their new grad apps within the next week. I have not started my senior capstone hours so I have no nursing skills I can mention in my Cover Letter.

I plan to mention my past clinical experiences, will that be enough?

Should I say how excited I am to do my senior capstone hours, because it's in the same hospital and same unit I'm applying to? Or does that come off unprofessional?
