I need information about becoming a member of NI. Is there an official NI site where one can become a member. If you are a member of NI, do you find that it has been beneficial for you? Does NI membership provide accredited CEUs?
Thanks to of you who provide answers to the questions.

Hello ImpCon
"NI" is not the name of an organization but the initials for the term Nursing Informatics. To join your local Nuring Informatics organization, reply back to me and let me know which state you are from. I can then point you in the right direction. To join a national NI organization contact HIMSS- the Health Information Management Systems Society. HIMSS has a newly formed national Nursing Informatics Task Force. Attending HIMSS' annual Nursing Informatics Symposium (see their website for details) does provide 8.5 CEUs
Hope that helps.

State: California
The closest Nursing Informatics organization to you (California) would be ANIA - The American Nursing Informatics Association. Do a web search to find the url and learn more about the organization via their website.
HIMSS (the Health Information and Management Systems Society has a Nursing Informatics Task Force) and AMIA- NIWG are two Nursing Informatics organizations that are national. For additional info on either HIMSS or AMIA do a web search.
Good Luck!
