How do I become a CNA?

Published

I live in Orange Park,Florida.I would like to become a CNA until I start nursing school. Can i work part-time as a CNA?Also,in which departments can I work in as a CNA?Thanks!

Yes, you can, at least here in Ohio you can.

As long as you take the class and pass your exam, why not.

Once school starts it would be up to you to work and go to school.

Here in Ohio we have CNAs that work in just about every department.

Not sure if that helps you in FL. Just thought I would offer how it is here.

hi -

i live in the st. pete florida and the state requirement is passing the state test, you can go on the states web site and get more info regarding details.. i would suggest taking a course or test prep course to get you ready. i took a week long class at florida medical prep and they were great!! you might want to call them and ask about a reputable school in your area.. there are allot of school in florida that are just awful! i would not suggest challenging the test or taking an online class. perhaps look for school that is also a testing facility.. i am attempting to do exactly that.. work as a cna while going to lpn/rn school... here in florida we seem to have lots of opportunities!! good luck!
