How do Hurst q-reviews compare to the real NCLEX questions?

I'm scheduled to take the NCLEX on 1/26/16 (in 3.5 days):wideyed: and i'm REALLY nervous. I took the Hurst live review and I"m working my way thru the Q-reviews. For those of you that did Hurst and took the NCLEX, how did the q-review questions compare to the actual NCLEX? I just want to get an idea of how well i'm preparing...should I keep going with the q-reviews and hurst video or should I move onto a different prep method?

I did the q-Banks for Hurst, Kaplan , and NCLEX mastery phone app for test taking preparation. After taking the NCLEX 3 days ago with 75 questions, I'd suggest the NCLEX mastery because it had a lot of similar questions. Last few days before the test, I mostly just did the NCLEX mastery questions and reading the answer rationale. I thought the test was way easier than any of the q-Bank questions when I finished but it may have been because all the questions prepared me for the NCLEX. California don't have quick results but I just kept checking breeze.ca.gov which updated today with my name so I guess all those questions prepared me too well.

lwandel, its tseeton :) I have been doing Hurst review Q reviews averaging 75-84. I hate the rational but UWORLD is great. Have you been using that at all?

I've been using the NCLEX RN Mastery app as well- but only when I'm at a stoplight or waiting in line and have a minute. After reading this, I think I'll use it more between now and Tuesday!

I don't think any of the apps or NCLEX preps are close to the real NCLEX. The NCLEX questions just cannot be mimicked, in my opinion. Don't let that scare you though. The hurst prepares you very well for NCLEX! I used it and Kaplan, but preferred the Hurst!

You sound like me. I did Kaplan throughout nursing school (it was a requirement and part of our grade), I'm doing the Hurst online review now, and I've also been doing the NCLEX Mastery app since my final semester in school. I hope to God these three things prove successful for me when I take NCLEX (i'm hoping to test in 3 weeks, waiting on my ATT now).

Please update this post and let us know how you did, if you don't mind. I've heard a lot of people say that NCLEX questions are more straight forward than Kaplan questions. I sure hope so. I'm scoring in passing range according to Kaplan and I'm getting way more correct than incorrect on the NCLEX Mastery app.

I'm also very nervous and am using the hurst as well. I plan on testing in 2 weeks... Will you please let us know how you compared Hurst with the Nclex? wishing you nothing but the best today!
