When you schedule a case how do you ensure that the surgeon has the correct credentials for it? Do you have software that checks this for you (if so, what is the name of the software)? Do you handle this manually by checking a list and contacting your HR department if there is a problem? Do you just assume if the physician says he will do the case he must have the proper credentials?
Thanks!

I wouldnt take a surgeons word for it. I have heard too many "Im pulling into the garage now, take the patient back" only to find out theyre stuck on the turnpike!!! We have the surgeons and priviledges posted on our facility "intranet". Ill see if there is a specific program name when i go to work monday.
