Hi,

So, I'm about to graduate w/ my bsn. I def want to work a few yrs in L & D before going to grad school to become a midwife. Buuuttttt, we want to get pg 2-3 yrs after we graduate. so, how are your experiences having babies & kids while in grad school. You think it's best when they can hardly walk or when they start school etc..... I know every person's situation is different but it's still nice getting insight & considering the future! :) thanks y'all

Check out the programs in your area. There are many post grad nursing programs now with flexible formats. Nursing is unique in that most of us continue to work full time while attending full time programs. There are lots of MSN programs that offer 1 course at a time, for example. You can take time out of the rotation between courses to have your baby, and re-start again when you're ready. Go ahead and start requesting info from the schools in your area that offer these flexible programs. Then you can pick the program that works for you. Try to maintain at least a 3.0 in undergrad, so that you'll have more options.
