How to get ahold of my darn Medicare/Medicaid ID numbers

So, I've spent a year in miserable employment at an outpt internal med clinic that is community based and have finally gotten offers for jobs that I will actually like AND get paid a little bit for. Seriously, starting out at 70k per year for the amount of work I do was just insulting. Also, working in an environment where broken things are fixed on a timeline that makes no sense isn't all that joyful. Example: The last two weeks I have been sweating because the air conditioning hasn't been working properly. So I am all sticky and yucky by the end of the day. The pts complain, too, but no one cares because it is a community clinic for the under and un-insured, so it is run on both grants and insurance income. For some reason, they just kind of let things go to crap because of that. But, new grad jobs are so freaking hard to find that I had to take it.

Now then, my 2 new employers that I will start with next month are already aware of the situation with my soon to be ex-employer (known to get nasty when you leave them), and they are fine with it. The only problem now is that my soon to be ex-employer is not allowing me to get my insurance provider numbers/information from them, such as Medicaid, Medicare, BCBS, etc. So I am wondering how to go about getting them. I looked on my CAQH account, but since it turned over into that new "Proview" system, my information hasn't been reentered, so it's not there either. Can I just call the general number for each of the insurance companies and ask for it? I guess that's what I'll start doing until I learn otherwise. Thanks for any help/advice possible!

In case anyone is interested, I was able to call Medicaid directly and get my number. Medicare was somewhat more difficult because they won't just give it over the phone, but they can fax it to you. Now I'm gonna try for BCBS. Yay!

That change over to the system has been problematic. :(
