Hi, I have about four months before I officially start my four-year nursing program this upcoming fall! :) I'm really excited since I should note that after high school, I took a year off and just worked, relaxed, and spent time with family and friends. During high school, I was always set on Nursing but a lot of things happened during my senior year and I was just unsure of what path I was going to take.
This school year I was enrolled in Psychology and I took Intro. to Psych, Sociology courses, Critical Thinking, and other req. courses... but it just wasn't what I was interested in. Anyway, long story short... I am completely sure that Nursing is what I want to do and now I've secured a place in the program!
I just want to know how I can utilize these four months in order to get a head-start this upcoming fall. It's been awhile since my last Biology + Chemistry courses and most students in this program will have been just fresh out of high school, right?
I've been brushing up on Biochem but I'm not even sure if I'll need that?
A lot of people told me to try to get started on Anatomy & Physiology so I was thinking of buying Netter's flashcards and getting colouring books to familiarize myself.
I just feel like I've had so much relaxation over the past two years already and I want to get my brain going and ready for this Fall. What do you guys think I should focus on studying and what materials do you recommend?
