I am only annoyed when I have 15 people all screaming at me at the same time and 13 of them are demanding food, something to drink, a blanket, a telephone so they can call the entire neighborhood and tell them that they are "really bad" and in the ER.
My bladder has enlarged quite nicely over the last 9 years, thank you.
We dont have employee of the year, no one would win. LOL
We seldom get thank yous but those bad Press Ganeys are plastered on the wall every month!
Overtime is a part of nursing.
No reason to calculate, the end of your shift is not necessarily when your shift ends.
I dont drink coffee, but I like diet pepsi :)
As much caffeine as poss. That's the only way I stay vertical for the entire shift which, by the way, never ends on time. I have received 2 thank you's in 7 yrs. Most of the thanks always goes to the cardiologist, surgeon any specialist. Once a wife of an MI pt brought us some Bourbon balls. She didn't tell us she had made them yrs ago. Man, were they potent!
The worst part about having to "hold it", is chest compressions. Talk about a challenge. However, the longer you "hold it", the longer it takes to pee and you just might get 3 minutes of peace and quiet.
