Hello, I apologize if this is not the right category for this post, I wasn't sure where it fit.
What does it mean if a position if full time with on call? Does that mean you work 40 (or 36) hours PLUS you are on-call for additional hours? Or do you only work part of your hours and then your on call for the rest? How do you get paid for on-call time? Does it vary from place to place? Much thanks!

I don't know if you got a response to this, but at the 3 facilities I have worked at, you work your 36 or 40 hours PLUS scheduled on call. You get paid a small hourly wage while you're on call and at home ($2-4), and then get paid time and a half if you actually get called in.
