How Do I Even Start Pursuing Nursing?! HELP!

Hi everyone,

I am kind of at a loss and am looking for a little bit of advice! I am graduating this May with a BS in Psychology. And I am considering going into nursing but I have none of the pre-recs for it and I also have no prior experience. I was thinking about getting my CNA but I am not sure how to do that or what exactly it entails. Would that help me with my pre-recs? Or would I still have to take my pre-recs at the same time? I really can't afford to waste any time nor money with pursuing my second degree.

Has anyone else been in a similar position? I would appreciate any input!

Thanks!!!!!

First I'd get a job in the area you have your degree in while you chip away at your pre-reqs for nursing. Imo its important to work and have an income while continuing with school. The good news is that you should have some of the pre-reqs like math, english etc. done. You could do a quicky BSN program or get into an ADN program at a community college which is cheaper. Check around and see which schools will give you the most credit for the classes you've already taken. Good luck.
