How difficult is it to get into TCU nursing school as a transfer?

Published

So I am currently working on finishing my pre-requisites at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches tx. I really want to apply to TCU nursing school once I finish my pre-req's so I'm wondering how difficult it is to get accepted as a transfer? What is the standard GPA for acceptance and how can I stand out while applying? I plan on applying there as well as here at SFA but TCU is my first choice! any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Since TCU costs nearly $20,000 per semester in tuition and fees, it is not as if there's a stampede of applicants attempting to get admitted into their nursing programs. You should be able to get admitted with an okay GPA (3.0 range).

Personally, I wouldn't earn a nursing degree from TCU unless I had a rich uncle to bankroll the costs. New grad RN positions in the area start at only $23 to $25 hourly, so the student loan debt burden in exchange for the paltry pay wouldn't be worth it to me.

Do you have any suggestions for schools in the Dallas area? I was just looking up tuition and it is crazy expensive but it's my dream school :(
