Hello, I am not sure if this topic already exist. This is my first time in this site. Currently I am a certified pharmacy tech working at a pharmacy and I am thinking about a nursing degree. Will my degree count in any way either by way of credits or work experience towards an RN degree? I know the nursing programs in some universities are very competitive and challenging. I graduated from Baker College in Owosso MI. Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kathie,
This is not something we can answer online, as it is very dependent on whatever school you apply too.
If you have general ed classes like english, math, and sciences they may count towards a nursing degree, but again that is very school dependent.
My advise to you would be to go to the schools you are interested in with your transcripts and speak with an advisor. Best of luck.
