My niece from Baguio City, Philippines had passed CGFNS and English language test.
Can anyone please tell me how she can apply for visa screen? Is retrogression will affect her at this time?
I am RN myself but I work in the government. I don't know any hospitals that can sponsor any foreign nurses.
Please give me some feedback.
Thanks you very much.May you have prosperous new year all of you nurses members for this site.
Thank you for sharing your experiences also because some of us didn't know that people were taking out loans to pay for fees charged by the agencies. 5-10% interest rate per month is about what we pay in credit card fees depending on your credit. Some people can go as high as 20%, which is still outrageous. So the feedback goes both way, everyone learns from each other. Thanks again

Pill please reread my post. I didn't say US as a whole, if you rearead it it states US (the agencies you're speaking of) not the US in general. I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear as I even had a hard time wording it, but I knew what you meant. It's not the job of the CFGNS & NCLEX to take into consideration families that are struggling. If you can afford it, then you can afford it, if you can't then you can't. I agree the fees are expensive but there's nothing we can do but pay those fees. If somebody doesn't want to pay the fees then don't pay them. The choice lies with the individual person. The US is a capitalistic country and honestly they don't care if you can afford it or not, they just want their money as those nursing schools in the Philippines and many other businesses world wide.
Also if you reread my post carefully I used phrases as in "many people, some", but never "all, or everybody". As that not everybody falls into that catetory and it's not fair to generalize everyone when it's only some, or many. What you said regarding medicaid/medical is true. There are a lot of claims for undocumented people, and also people who have overstayed their visa from all areas of the world and it does come out of our tax dollars. IBut that money is so minimal compared to what's being spent on "corporate welfare". Which is where the US government gives free money to big businesses in order to bail them out of a rut that they got themselves in. Talk about parasites!
