How can I pay for school?

Published

I am starting my ADN degree in January. I will only be able to work on the weekends, at best. I will get the SC Lottery Loan through my school, but no other loans or grants are offered to me because I already have a college degree from a four year school. That makes me ineligible to recieve the Pell Grant. Does anyone know of any way to finance my way through school? Do you know of any grants, scholarships, or loans out there for someone with no special circumstances. I have my bachelors degree in Psychology and need help with living expenses and the remainder of my tuition. Thank you!

Go to www.fastweb.com, open an account (free) and start searching for scholarships. Also check with your school for in-house scholarships. There is still a lot of money to be had, even for those who can't show financial need. My out of pocket expense in nursing school was books and 1 pre-req. Everything else came through various scholarships & grants. No loans.
