How Can I Meet with Mr. Sierra from BMCC (Nursing Department)

Published

I have an open house at BMCC on March 4th. And I know they'll have on the spot admissions there, however, in order for me to take the appropriate classes and to get answers to some questions about classes being transferred in - I know I need to speak to Mr. Sierra. I just emailed him. (got it from these boards here) However, I don't really expect him to answer. Please explain what I need to do to actually meet with him to discuss academic advisement and my transcript.:heartbeat

-Thanks

You might want to try posting this in the state you are from. Good luck with school.

You should go to BMCC directly and look for him at the nursing Dept. of 7th floor. You can also call the Nursing Dept. there and see if you can make an appt. to see him.

Hey Cee Cee,

Just wondering if you were successful in applying last March? I found that Mr. Sierra's secretary is really sweet but Mr. Sierra himself is very elusive. I enrolled this year as a liberal arts student to avoid the pre-nursing advisement hassle and then plan to switch to nursing degree when I pass all the pre-req subjects (which hopefully I'll get an A in all of them!).

Doris,

As you can see I posted this a while ago. Since reading these boards and finding out the ridiculous competition of BMCC's program I no longer am interested in applying. I might possibly be taking a psych class at BMCC (online) and maybe a statistics class for the summer session - But it is for another nursing program. I'm currently enrolled at New York City Tech because it is closest in proximity to where I live.

I saw an old friend from High School at the South Street Seaport (she was in her uniform) and she in their program. She told me she got denied the first time (she had A's in all her pre-reqs) she applied and had to wait another semester to apply and then got into BMCC. I read all of the stories on here about people not getting in even with high gpa's and it's just discouraged me from even thinking about their program.

I'll probably go the private school route...
