How can I get back into travel nursing???

Hi, I would love some advise how to get back to travel after the last 2 yrs. I have years of med/surg and tele experience but over the last two years I have worked hospice. It has been a good experience but now I can't seem to get back into the hospital to travel!

I really don't want to travel for hospice.

Exactly what is the problem? Have you talked to multiple agencies and they say they cannot place you?

Try to pick up per diem shifts in desired specialty that you looking to be a traveler for, a lot of agencies cannot place into a unit that you have not worked in the past year. Hospitals rely on travel nurses to be current in their specialty.

I am a recruiter at Aya and we have earning power programs for cases like these but they are very few and far between.

Hi Ned and Anthony,

The problem is you cannot be placed in a hospital assignment after being out of it for 2 yrs. I have talked to one recruiter so far that I really like that is going to try and place me in a smaller hospital first. I like hospice but I feel limited too.

I haven't spoken to anyone at Aya as yet.
