As of right now i have a 65.4 in College Algebra, and it really upsets me because i have been giving it my all. If i were to fail Algebra it would be my 4th C!! (My dad being sick (not death bead ill but still sick) has been a big distraction.) I still have seven classes to go: 4 biology, 1 government, 1 psychology, and stats. My gpa is a 2.7 and i have 0 volunteer hours. Is there any hope for me? I originally wanted to transfer to get a BSN, but that just doesn't seem realistic. Can anyone suggest anything? I would appreciate it so much.
*Please excuse the bad grammar.

7 A's would be a big step in the right direction and is very possible if you live and breathe school. That would shoot your gpa up hopefully and make you more competitive.
It also depends on how the schools you are considering rank their applicants. Find this out first and work towards a higher ranking. Every school is slightly different.
Also, talk to students at the schools you are considering and ask them what they have seen as the minimums for applicants to get accepted with. Most students know this almost as good as the staff...lol.

I'm sorry about your dad! I hope he feels better soon. Is there any way you could retake those classes, possibly with the same professors? That way you know how they teach and what they look for on tests. Maybe you could turn those C's into B's or A's.
In my state (New Mexico), it's very hard to get into nursing school without a GPA in 3.X range. I've never seen anyone get into the community college's nursing with anything lower than a 3.5 And don't even get me started on my school's BSN candidates. I have always done well in school and this is the first time in college that I have felt intimidated by the level the other people can compete on.
Does your school take into account volunteer work? My school doesn't care.
