How do apply to different programs?

Published

Hello nurses and future nurses! I'm here because I'm hoping that someone could help me!

I'm currently a student, and I've taken all my basics. I know that I can apply to more than one nursing program, but I'm trying to figure out how. Every application wants me to put in my student ID number, but I don't have one for that college. I'm applying to the college that I'm currently attending, but I want to give myself more options in case I don't get accepted. Does anyone know how I need to go about putting in the application without registering to that college? Or would I need to register to every college that I want to apply to the program(which I'm not sure I can do that)?

I'd double check the application instructions on the program's website. But with all the programs I looked at when I was applying (I'm not sure if it's true for all programs though), you had to apply to the university/community college as well, marking that you were applying to the nursing program. That way, you could send all your transcripts to the university itself and have it logged into the university's system and assessed by the admissions department. The nursing program isn't really capable of doing that by itself. Then, acceptance to the university is considered undecided until the decision comes from the nursing program. So if you don't get accepted by the nursing program, you won't get accepted into the university, and there's no confusion.

You also still send in your nursing application as well.

And yes, you can applying to multiple colleges without any issues.

Call the admissions office or the nursing department office and ask.
