How applicable is bio/stats/chem once you start working?

If you do not understand how to interpret research that applies to your nursing practice you will have a handicap. Knowledge is never wasted. Consider this, if your loved one had a choice of two nurses, one who was up to date on topics affecting his/her practice and the other who focused on doing tasks, which would you prefer??
