Hi Everyone!
I am new to this site (and to the pursuit of nursing in general) and I am hoping that some of you who have taken the TEAS before can give me some advice about whether it is safe to take the TEAS without having taken anatomy and physiology.
Just for some background info, I spent the last 5 years as a pre-med student, graduated with a degree in biology, and took the last year off to work and travel. In the last year, I have discovered that nursing is actually my calling (better late than never, right?). But the thing is, I spent the last 7 months studying for the MCAT, so I am really familiar with all of the chemistry, physics, general biology, etc. I am planning on taking the test in one month. I will spend three weeks going over the ATI study guide and doing practice tests. I have not taken anatomy and physiology yet, but I have taught myself enough to be prepared for the MCAT so I am not totally in the dark. I want to take the test now rather than later before I forget everything that I learned for the MCAT, but if the science portion has a ton of A&P questions, I don't know how successful I will be.
Thanks so much for any advice!

There will be some a and p on there. If you're thinking about the teas look into the official ati study manual book and go from there. You can dig deeper than the book since it seems like a skeletal outline.
There's a very good post on the teas experience by rainbowvahmet. they have a bullet list of subtopics you can read and check off.
Here is the link to the post i mentioned https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/how-i-passed-804222.html
Wishing you the best.
Thank you so much for the response! I did already purchase the ATI study guide. I think that you are right in that I need to just start it and see where I am at. Thanks so much for suggesting the post - I will definitely check it out :)
From what I have researched, it seems like the test content is variable depending on the version, so all I can do it study and see what happens:)

If you are a biology major, then I think you'll be fine after going through the ATI study guide. I was also a biology major and pre-med student. Good luck!
Great, that is assuring - thank you for the response! Glad to know that I am not the only crazy person who made the switch! Hoping for the best:)
