Houston vs. Atlanta or FL (Mia/Ft.Laud)

Hello Texas nurses,

Any of you have experienced working in FL and/or GA? Is there any difference in the work environments, for example, nurse/patient ratios, overall satisfaction, the pay? I am not a nurse yet. I live in Atlanta at the moment. Which are the better schools specifically in Houston?

I left TX immediately after graduation and worked in FL. It was a major shock to come back to TX. They were way far behind the times in EVERYTHING. The staffing was worse, the medical care was worse. New treatments that I had done for a long time were just starting to make their way to TX when I moved back. Don't know how the salaries compare now because I was nurses salaries were pretty low back then, kinda like what a CNA would make now. The best hospital I have ever worked for was in FL. They had much better education and staff support than any place I have been since.
