Just took nclex and passed. I'm an lvn with 3 yrs experience and my current job at skilled nursing center does not have any open rn positions so I'm still an lvn. Need to know of any hospitals that are new grad friendly. I missed the versant deadline on 2 hospitals and the rest start in May which just seems too long. Please let me know if y'all know any place. Thanks in advance

First congratulations on passing rn nclex! Have you tried Utmb? We have several positions available for rn's. Good luck!! I'm looking into doing the transition any advice? New to Texas and unsure what colleges have lvn to rn any suggestions would be appreciative and wanted! Thank you! If I can help with Utmb please let me know
Thanks, I will look into utmb. Which one in particular if u don't mind me asking. As for the transition, I went to san jacinto college and its a pretty straight forward program. 1 or 2, 2hr classes per week and 1 12 hr clinical. Instructors are cool, and the workload is moderate and relevant. Was able to work full time while and maintained a 3.5 gpa. Also the do have grants for lvns so tht you can get books which cost almost 2 grand the the whole program

Like most nursing jobs around here you must apply online http://www.utmb.eduOk San Jacinto I will check into, thank you for that information. Do you know is there a long wait? Just curious:) Good luck with UTMB and if I can help in any way please don't hesitate.
