Houston Residencies Fall 2019!!!

Hey Nurses! What’s the word on the street regarding residencies that will open up this fall. Could we have some posted?

I think generic will be fine, if from an instructor just stating how you did in clinicals or in lecture can help

I heard that Memorial Hermann TMC is supposed to start calling for match day interviews on the 17th.

Does anyone know anything about Texas Children's? Their website says they have a fall cohort but I havent seen anything yet.

Awhile ago a recruiter told me Texas Children’s application would go live June 10th but I haven’t seen anything yet (haven’t checked today though).

Also, MD Anderson has a residency this fall too and they keep opening and closing different units for the residency so keep checking!! type residency in their careers website and you'll see.

I was told the same thing. But nothing yet, I really want to apply there so I hope it opens soon.

Oh okay, I wonder how it is for the other facilities. Did anyone apply to southwest or woodlands? I received an email from the southwest recruiter saying my 1st choice wasn’t getting any new grads this cohort so I had to pick another but I haven’t heard anything else since ?

I heard from a manager of one of the TMC units, she emailed me. But no call for an interview yet ?. If TMC is starting the 17th then most likely the other campuses will be around the same time.

Also, the woodlands and southwest are complete opposites lol do you plan to move closer to one of the hospitals if you get the job?

Oh okay, makes sense. Thank you! & LOL yes I know but I’m moving from Florida so yes I’m planning to move close to wherever I God willingly get a job ? I picked southwest bc of my first choice but now that’s not even available anymore lol but it’s ok, 2nd choice is good too
