Houston New Grad Residency Summer 2025

Hey all,

I graduate in May. Now is the time we are all applying for new grad residency spots in the Houston area. I figured we could connect, share dates, updates, call backs, rejections, interview tips...etc. 

 

So far I have applied for Methodist, HCA, Harris Health. Hermann opens next week. 
 

anyone else, any call backs yet?

I also applied to HCA and Harris Health. I havn't heard from either as of yet.

I spoke with a recruiter for HCA and she told me they are still filling Spring positions. They don't plan to look for Summer new grads until closer to March. Harris Health, IDK. It says my app has been reviewed and a recruiter will contact me if I'm a fit but I haven't heard anything. Methodist - haven't heard anything at all but others in my class have.

That's good to hear about HCA. I was concerned because it has been a few wks since I applied. My harris application says the same. Which specialty are you interested in? I am looking for perioperative.

I'm hoping for ED or women's. There are certain hospitals I'll take whatever I can get though!

I have a interview for HCA L&D next week but she told me if I am selected I won't be able to start till the Summer cohort, I originally applied for Spring though

How did you guys interviews go? Has anyone heard from any other residencies?

My interview went well! I had it last Monday but I still haven't heard back and can't get in touch with the recruiter so I'm not sure if I will get an offer
