Hi! I am also in the process of applying, last stage pretty much. I'm just waiting to hear back from Julio to set up an appointment to apply for the actual program itself. I'm currently enrolled at HCC and taking a Literature class to take care of the ENGL 2000 pre-requisite. I have one other class that they require for graduation from the program, but it was too late and the semester had already started by the time I looked for classes. Otherwise, I'm core complete. Stats are:
Overall GPA: 3.8
Science GPA: 4.0
Overall HESI: 90, CT 890
Glad to finally find a forum! I have posted on the Spring '17 forum, but I just told myself I would create one if I didn't find one for the Fall! Best of luck!
Hey future nurses! I applied for Fall 2017 as well. I met with the nursing advisor the week before spring break to turn in my application. It was my first time visiting HBU, other than the information session, and I just love the feel of the school. Everyone there (advisors, secretaries, security, ETC) is so pleasant. I really hope I am accepted. I have an undergrad in Biology from UHD (gpa 3.6) my prerequisite gpa is 3.8. my HESI was 89.6 with critical thinking at 960. Good luck to you all! God bless you and guide you all.
I meant to reply that same day, but life got busy. Anyway, I called my school advisor and she was able to speak with Julio (pre-nursing advisor). According to him, we should expect to hear something around mid-May, and that we would notified (conditional acceptance) through the email that the school has on file. So, as I said above, 6-8 weeks from the application deadline

Hello all!
Scrolling through dozens of posts I have yet to see one for HBU Fall 2017, so I figured I would start one. I am in the process of completing my application and just wanted to see if anyone else is on the same boat. I am an external student transferring. The following are my stats:
Overall GPA: 3.5 (Courses still in progress)
Science GPA: 4.0
Overall HESI score: 88.4%
- Critical thinking: 880
Also, if any current or previous HBU students scroll on by, any insight would be helpful. I have heard mixed things about the HBU nursing program.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE :-)!
