Houston Area Residencies Spring 2020

Hey, all.

Just wanted to start a thread so we could share information about all the different residencies and the statuses of applications/interviews/other information.

any interviews happening?

I know MH had their pre-match event and Methodist is having a pre-screening event 10/3.

I've applied for Methodist, Hermann, Harris Health, and HCA. Waiting for Children's and MDA opportunities.

I applied to all the same places! I have Hermann interview tomorrow with CVICU/CVIMU. Tomorrow is match day! I never heard back from Methodist or MD Anderson (and those have already sent out interviews). My classmates got interviews with both but didn't get selected for a job. Waiting to hear from St. Lukes and Texas Children's. Super nervous for MH tomorrow. HCA hasnt' done interviews yet. They just finished selecting for the October 2019 cohort!

How about you? Any news?

Hi! I applied for the MD Anderson clinical nurse residency and had a phone interview followed by an in person interview close to two weeks ago, just anxiously waiting for an offer or update! Good luck!

Hey y'all,

I had an interview with HM- Willowbrook MSU and it felt rushed. I have always wanted to work at HM and now I am not so sure. Does anyone have experience with their residency program or with working there?

im sorry! I never saw this response as I realized there was another thread already for this same topic.

but to answer your question, I received a job offer for MH. TX children's and Methodist TMC called me this week for an interview. ? I also heard back from Christus health.

how is it going now? have you heard from your MH interview?
