Hours CNM work a week?

Hello everyone, I was just wondering how many hours CNM work a week. Also, if you can, share some of your experiences with me.

I'm sure it all depends on what type of practice you have. If you work with a large group, you're more likely to work 40 hour work weeks with predictable hours (combo of office hours and hospital call). If you're in a small practice, you may be on call at all times. Some weeks you may not have many deliveries at all and other weeks you may be living at the hospital or birthing center.

My midwife does 2 8hr shift in the clinic and 2 12hr shift in the L&D at the hospital.

I do three 8 hour office days and 1-2 24 hour calls. It's a lot!
